Dave Hurrell still leads the way with an impressive 2,796 runs scored opening the batting. In terms of averages, both Dennis Batchelor and Chris Hammond have now overhauled Alex Hall - all three with averages over 35.  Jim Lowe's impressive average of 52 looks likely to remain unbeaten for quite a while to come.

The lower middle order is very much dominated by the pairing of Marshall & Walton who have both over 1,000 competitive runs between them at almost identical averages. 2016 should see Charlie Smith join the 1,000 club - with a significant better average. Top average however goes to Joe Rodway with an impressive 54.29. Two youngsters have done well to be new entrants in this table - George Lewis & James Marshall.

David Steadman & Dave Marshall also average around the 20 mark down in these depths but also a pleasant surprise to see "Goddfrey"'s impressive record of 12 not outs in 19 innings and avaerage of 19.6!

Interesting to see that Bob Steadman, who has a decent overall average, gets out for a 1 or less in a third of all his innings - clearly vulnerable early on for some reason.

Big Baz may have a reputation for being a bit of a slow starter - but as 31 duckless innings shows, better to be off to a slow start than a quick dismissal!

No real surprises here in terms of how batsman are dismissed. Generally across all levels of the game Bowled and Caughts account for circa 40% each with LBWs and Runouts contributing another 15%, with 5% for the rarities.

Pete continues to dominate the LBW count - his rugby sized legs providing an unmissable target for bowlers! As you would expect the rest of the list contains a combination of opening batsmen such as Adam who are likely to be facing the new ball, or "step acrossers" such as Baughan and Marshall who are looking to hit to leg.

Andy "thin legs" Straw leads the way here, followed surprisingly by Dapper who perhaps has avoided being LBW by being bowled! Likewise, Andy Hillyar has only been LBW once in 134 dismissals. With his unusual stance Laurie Symons is poised to take command should the three above get the umpires finger!

RUN OUTS

Run out stats are a bit tricky - not least because bad running is a bit like bad driving - you may not be in many accidents yourself, but you see plenty in your mirrors! Furthermore, you would expect lower/middle order batsmen to be more likely to be run out victims due to the stage in the innings.

Nevertheless, Henry Thornton is the undisputed king of the mid wicket mix-up, being run out in 14% of his dismissals. Sarge Wilson and Dan Stevenson are respectable 2nd and 3rd place.

There are quite a few Sway players who have never been run-out, with the chairman himself leading the way with 59 dismissals without a mix up - presumably he either hits boundaries or gets out! The rest of the list is a mixture of the fit and fast (Bob Steadman,  Chave Anderson and Nathan David) and the slightly more athletically challenged (Nial Gallagher & Casper "wait there" Todd)!
