Legend leaves, legend returns!

Sway will start a new season for the first time in a decade without a player who has been part of the Club's meteoric rise since the start.

Jack Walton has finally obtained some gainful employment requiring a move to the midlands. Having been with the Club since he was an under 11, it will be weird not to have him around.

With over 3,000 runs and 300 wickets from 200+ appearances, Jack will be hugely missed by the first XI. Sway's answer to David Gower with the bat  - one of the few Sway players that could be described as "graceful"! Originally a fast bowler, a bad back injury forced a switch to spin in recent years, but that has also been mightily effective. Hopefully Jack will still be able to make a few games.

As one legend leaves, another legend, or at least a legend in his own lunchtime returns. After a spell working in the Fens, Caspar Todd has returned to the area and is eagerly anticipated regaling us again about his 94no versus New Milton 4ths. For the last few seasons Caspar has been playing for Abbots Ripton CC in the Cambridge Junior League Division 4 North - and has produced some rather impressive performances with the bat - 2 centuries and several 50s.
