Ferndown Wayfarers III 245 - 6, Sway IV 181

Ferndown got away to a rapid start mainly through some big hitting from Sam Hellier despite Sway getting an early wicket when Matt Dobbs going for an ambitious second run was defeated by Dappers excellent throw with keeper Adam Marshall completing the job. Chris Baughan caught Hellier off the bowling of Harvey Kavanagh for 49, however a good partnership between Karl Forrest and Andy McIntyre put Sway under pressure. Daryl Elford bowled a superb spell having McIntyre caught by Hammy Kavanagh for 30 and beating the bat regularly finishing with 1-18 off his 8 overs. Harvey Kavanagh picked up 3 more wickets one a fine catch by his brother to finish with 4-40 but Forrest stole the show reaching his hundred in the final over as Ferndown closed on 245-6.

Veterans Mark Wright and Sarje Willson opened for Sway and got away to a sound start, it was however Hammy Kavanagh with a succession of boundaries who kept Sway in the running. Having reached 72 and looking well set a brilliant piece of fielding saw him run out and Ferndown back on top. Duncan Savage hit a brisk 30 but Forrest 3-22 and skipper Becky Yeo 3-1 wrapped things up as Sway closed on 181 all out.
