With some late withdrawals Sway opted for girl power bringing in Sara Allport and Sure De Beer and also giving young Edward Allport another game.

With the match taking place at Wingfields the older members of the team were a little apprehensive having suffered some deplorable matches there in the past, however the wicket although resembling something from the IPL played ok.

James Howard and Clive Smith opened for Sway and Dapper soon bowled D.Rogers for a single whilst at the other end Smith couldn't find any tempo being continually called for front foot no balls despite insisting he was well behind the line. Sara Allport replaced the irked Smith and began with a maiden and when Dapper had completed his 8 overs taking 1 - 20 and beating the outside edge often he gave way to Sure De Beer. S.Allport then claimed her debut league wicket bowling S.Day for 31 then after her mandatory 5 overs she gave way to her brother Edward to bowl his leggies. Christchurch's captain the big hitting James Bingham had now arrived in the middle and was looking to plunder the attack, Edward foxed him for a couple of overs by bowling wides and no balls but when he pitched one on leg stump a big heave against the spin resulted in Sure De Beer taking a good catch at short fine leg. De Beer herself was bowling an exemplary length and line and picked up her first wicket decoding M.Morse's defence and bowling him for 25. E.Allport then collected another scalp with Sarje Willson taking the catch at square leg, which more or less sums up his pins! Ben Nethersole had come in at no. 6 and looked a decent bat and was soon scoring freely, Dave Hurrell got a wicket at the other end a slow doosra accounting for Charlie Rogers leaving Christchurch on 120 - 6. Nethersole and S.Viney now added a quick 54 runs together seeing off Willson and Mark Wright in the process before Sara Allport came back to bowl Nethersole for a fine 61. Sure De Beer and Chris Baughan then wrapped up the tail, De Beer getting a plumb lbw and a fine caught and bowled whilst E. Allport took a catch off of Baughan to leave Christchuch all out for 190, De Beer 3 -17, S.Allport 2 - 33 and E. Allport 2 - 30 taking the bowling honors, and Duncan Savage again starring in the field.

The Sway innings will take up a bit less space as only Reece Owen 21 off of 6 deliveries got into double figures although mentions for Sarje who scored 8 runs in typical Seward style and also Sure and Clive Smith who both batted well. F. Viney 4 - 37 and L.Moore 3 - 8 were the best of the Church bowlers although R.Morse did manage a 19 ball over taking 1 - 17 before thankfully being replaced.
