SWAY IV 115   LYNDHURST & ASHURST II       116 - 4

Sway 4ths returned to their former home ground at Bolton's Bench to take on Lyndhurst & Ashurst 2nds and on winning the toss elected to bat first on a hot and sunny day.
The plan backfired somewhat as after just 5 overs Sway were on 14 - 3, the experienced pairing of Derek Seward and Dave Hurrell steadied the ship by adding 40 runs together before Hurrell and Stuart Hudson were out leaving the score on 58 - 5 off 20 overs.
The even more experienced Steve Willson joined Seward and they put together a 41 run partnership before Danny Agha bowled Willson and Rees Owen to leave Sway in more trouble at 99 - 7, and when Seward was caught behind for a valiant 42 the end was in sight with Andy Hillyar hitting a couple of nice shots before becoming Agha's sixth victim as the final total mustered a modest 115.

Hillyar struck in his 1st over to raise some early hopes and there were some fine spells from Colts Bradley Balcombe (10 3 18 1 ) and Olly Smith 1 - 14 off 5 overs but an unbeaten 53 from Michael Goodman saw L & A safely home after 32 overs.
