Champions start title defence in style

Lymington 21-7, Sway 311-3

With the weather set fine, defending champions Sway U9s kicked off their 2016 campaign with a convincing win over neighbours Lymington.

Lymington won the toss and asked Sway to bat. After a slow start Sway, with 6 debutants in the their side, picked up the pace and finished on 311 for 3.The main contributions came from Ollie Marshall, Jon Pepin and Luke Shearer. There was some excellent running between the wickets towards the end of the innings.

An inexperienced Lymington side batted well but were never up with the required pace and finishing on 215 for 7. There was some accurate bowling from the Sway youngsters Jon Pepin, Harry West, Declan Treacey and Harry Allies backed up by keen fielding to keep Sway well in control.
