Sway U14s bring home first silverware of the 2016 season

Never mind a new changing room, showers and a dining area.... what we really need in the pavilion is a trophy cabinet!!

Sway indoor u14s claimed the first silverware of a year that promises more of the same from other Sway teams when they won the Hounsdown Indoor u14 6-a-side League with a magnificent 100% record over 8 matches.

The league comprised teams from Totton & Eling, Hythe & Dibden, Langley Manor, Calmore and Sway who played each other twice in a 10-over per side format at Hounsdown School on Friday evenings over the winter.

During the season Sway broke league records for both the team and individual scores when against Hythe & Dibden they scored 140-4 in their 10 overs and skipper, Tom Burton, contributed a fantastic 56 n.o........... no mean feat when batters retire at 20 runs!

The squad of players used was Tom Burton, Giacomo Bigazzi, Ollie Smith, Arthur Lomax, Daniel and Joshua Bailey and their schoolmate Josh Royan who guested for us from Lymington when the majority of Sway u13s were unavailable Sea Scouting on Friday evenings.

A great performance from a talented team that bodes well for the fortunes of both u13s and u15s in the upcoming outdoor season.

The cup & individual trophies weren't available at the team's last indoor match so they were presented last night at u13/u15 training.
