Sway Groundsman in horror accident (UPDATED PICS)

Sway Life Vice President and Groundsman Andy Lee last week suffered a horrific injury, severing his thumb whilst using a band-saw.

Lucking Andy had the presence of mind to pack the thumb in ice and call the ambulance asap and we are pleased to report that  after a 6 hour operation, surgeons were able to successfully re-attach it.  As can be seen from the picture below, it is at least a nice pink colour.

I am sure everyone at the Club and in the local cricket community will join us in wishing Andy a speedy recovery.

With Andy laid low at such a busy time for pre-season preparations it will be even more important for as many of you as possible to turn out for out CricketForce day on Sat 2nd April or otherwise lend a hand to Steve Drayton with the build of the pavilion extension.

The offending saw, escaped unhurt:

Updated pics - as you can the Mr Tom Thumb has been reunited with Pam Hand!
