Thrilling victory for Sway Us9 In local derby

Sway U9s managed to scrape past neighbours Bashley and maintain their 100% in a thrilling game that went down to a final nail-biting over. Bashley batted first and the bowling from Sway’s youngsters was unusually wayward allowing the Bashley  batsmen to hit 9 x 4s and a six on the way to setting a competitive total of 269-5 with Theo Mitchell picking up 3 wickets.

The Sway reply  got off to good start in the run chase with Olly Marshall and Sebbie Allies plundering 41 in just 4 overs, however, the home side fought back with some tight bowling resulting in Sway not being able to make any further progress during the middle overs. The final pairing of Noah Lane and Connor Treacey managed to nudge Sway ahead in the final over and defend the final few deliveries to secure a hard-fought victory.
