Personal Milestones Update

A few important personal milestones are just around the corner, and a few have recently been passed this season.....

With the bat, 2nd XI skipper Dan Stevenson (1,943) is just a decent knock away from bringing up 2,000 runs for Sway. Jack Baughan (962) and Casper Todd (955) are also close to the 1,000 run mark. Finally, U15 star George Lewis (478) is just 22 runs away from 500 senior runs.

With the ball, Steve How (187) is just 13 wickets away from being just the 6th player to reach 200 wickets and just one of four players to also have over 2,000 runs. Groundsman / Umpire Andy Lee is seemingly marooned on 97 wickets unless he can be persuaded to put his whites on again and is likely to be beaten to 100 wickets mark by Terry Patch (97) and Mark Wright (86).

Three fielders are close to passing the 50 catches mark - Steve Thistleton 49 Chris Hammond 47 & Dan Stevenson 45.

A number of big milestones have already been passed in the 2015 season - with the bat Dave Marshall (4,260) has passed the 4,000 run mark and has also finally overhauled club legend Dave Hurrell into second place in the all-time run-scorers table behind Alex Hall (5,320). Third team skipper Pete Bennet (3,316) has breezed past the 3,000 run mark in rapid time whilst club secretary Rick How (2,011) has now passed 2,000 runs. Three younger/new players have passed the 500 run post - Nick Brien (578), James Marshall (552) and Tim Noble (585).

Whilst no big bowling milestones have yet been passed this year, with catching a grand total of three players passed the 100 catches mark this season:  Dave Marshall (104), Adam Clark (101) and Alex Hall (100). David Steadman has also now taken 50 catches.
