Exciting U9 Cup Victory for Sway

In a local derby cup match against Bashley, Sway came out on top after a hard fought game. Bashley won the toss and put Sway into bat and they recorded a competitive total of 281 for 3. There some good batting all round by the Sway youngsters with highlights included some strong contributions down the order from the hard hitting left-handers Connor Treacey and Oscar Anderson making 22 and 17 respectively.

A solid start from Bashley kept the game in the balance, but some accurate bowling from Sebbie Allies, Tom O'Callaghan and Connor Treacey is particular made the difference and the home side began to lose wickets against and eventually finishing up on 231 for 8.There was some excellent fielding from the Sway youngsters who looked an improving team, well drilled by captain Noah Lane-Glass. Sway’s win sees them rewarded with another derby fixture - a short trip to Lymington in the next round.
