Sway pick Heath's Lock

Sway swept aside bottom of the table Locks Heath with an accomplished batting and bowling performance.
Put into bat by the hosts Sway lost skipper Alex Hall but Tim Noble and Jack Walton (33) steadied the ship with a nice array of shots in a 70 run partnership until the latter was out. Noble went to his first fifty of the season but perished soon after for 55. Vito Falso looked good and cracked a boundary before he was out and it was left to Nilantha Attapatu, who hit a lovely 65, and Adam Clark, who clattered a brisk few runs and even got out the paddle sweep twice, to see Sway to a very competitive total.

Sway started well with the ball, pinning the Locks Heath openers down and the pressure paid off when a superb stop, pick-up and throw by Jack Baughan secured a run-out. After that Sway made inroads into the batting line-up with Jon Waller (2-22) getting the next wickets thanks to a superb catch by Attapatu. Aussie Nick Locke (2-17) then got in on the act. Attapatu was introduced and carried on his good day with three victims, one wicket aided by Locke's smart catch, as Locks Heath's challenge evaporated. Finally it was left to Walton to wrap up the tail with two wickets, one a smart catch from Neil Prince.
