SWAY
140 -3 BRANSGORE 58
After
overcoming an inauspicious start Sway ran out
comfortable winners prevailing by 82 runs against a
young Bransgore side.
With
regular opening partner Alex Hall still getting ready
having been laid low by man-flu, Adam Clark was
partnered by Steve How but it was bowler Andy Thomas who
was up and running having Clark caught behind by Will
Wright second ball and then bowling David Steadman with
the fourth ball leaving Sway 2 - 1 at the end of the
over. How and Neil Prince set about repairing the damage
and with the score at 49 How retired bringing in Hall
who launched into the bowling and at 85 he also retired.
Prince was caught by Seb Binfield off of Tom Baker for
20 leaving Sam Nailor (19 n.o) and How (48 n.o) to push
the final score up to 140 - 3 with Thomas finishing with
2 - 19.
How and
Hall opened the bowling for Sway and Wright was run out
early on before How struck having Binfield lbw for 2 and
with Pete Butcher also run out Bransgore were in trouble
at 36 - 3 after 4 overs. Things didn't improve much for
Bransgore as How had Thomas caught by Steadman to finish
with 2 - 17 and with two more run outs the innings
closed on 58 after just 6.1 overs.
