Sway's youngest win at Ellingham

Sway took on Ellingham on Sunday in a game for those U8-U10s that were new to hardball cricket. Most only picked up a hard ball for the first time 3 weeks ago.

Sway batted first and everyone did well scoring runs with just a few wickets lost. In particular Oliver D-M who top scored with an unbeaten 12 and Sam 10. Sway scored a net 264.

In reply all the Sway bowlers were excellent and have clearly been paying attention in training -  claiming an impressive 11 Ellingham wickets. The wickets went to Jordan (4), Thomas B (3), Kate (1), Sam (1), Oliver (1) and Matthew (1). Ellingham finished on net 190 given Sway victory by 74 runs.

All the children seemed to enjoy the game - big thanks to Ellingham for laying it on and Matt Burton for taking the team. Hopefully we can do it again soon.
