Hammond hammers 4ths to maintain 2nd XI 100% record

Sway 2nd XI v Sway 4ths - 2nd XI won by 9 wickets

Sway seconds romped home in the end but at least for a while it looked like a shock was at least a possibility. The 4ths batted first with Steve Wilson and Mark Wright taking the score to 80 without loss as the 2nd XI started to fret in the field. However, both were dismissed in the space of a couple over overs by way of unnecessary run outs. Whilst Carl Osborne played a cameo for a while, the 4th XI innings petered out for 138-7, when earlier on a score of 180+ seemed on the cards.

In reply Chris Hammond and Ross Clark got the seconds off to a brisk and untroubled start before Osborne eventually managed to york Clark. That merely brought Joe Rodway to the wicket who along with Hammond put the 4th bowlers to the sword and soon knocked off the runs with Hammond finishing 73 not out and Rodway unbeaten on 41.

Joe Rodway  - scored some runs today.
