Landmarks for Clark, Bennet and Harvey

Pete Bennet 100 apps

Second team skipper Pete Bennet made his 100th appearance for the club in Sway II's victory of Hordle II last week. Ironically it was also against Hordle II that Pete made his Sway debut back in May 2006. On that day Sway lost by 105 runs and Pete got a duck! Since his debut he has scored 745 runs at an average of 10.64. His top score of 54 came in a friendly in 2009 against Clayhill Dragonslayers over at Blackfield. Pete has also taken 53 catches, accumulated 23 stumpings....and believe it or not one wicket! (a caught & bowled against Pennington back in 2006). Aside from playing and skippering, Pete is one of the driving forces behind the recent progress the club has made - as a generous sponsor, U17s manager, database collator, general handyman...and of course BBQ operative!

Adam Clark 1500 runs & 50 catches

Adam brought up 1,500 runs for Sway with a superb unbeaten century against CBBEA in the first league game of 2010. Despite his diamond duck last weekend the pint sized opener has now racked up 1,624 runs at an average of 23.84. He has also now passed the 50 catches mark. Clark made his debut for Sway back in June 2006 - for the 2nd XI in a home game against Swan Green where he was dismissed for just 6! Since then he has made considerable progress racking up 6 50s and a 100 and has now established himself as the 1st XI keeper.

Sam Harvey 500 runs

Sam brought up his 500 runs for Sway with fine knock of 38 at Sanford Arms in Guildford. After coming through the colts ranks, Sam made his debut in adult cricket back in June 2006 - a narrow defeat for the 2nd XI away at Mudeford IV. On that occasion Sam was 9 not out in an unbeaten 44 run partnership with Steve Thistleton. Since then Sam has scored 539 runs at an average of 11.72 and is overdue his maiden half century with his highest score being an unbeaten 48 against Verwood II at Potterne Park in 2009. With the ball he has taken 32 wickets at an average of 20.25.
