23rd May 2010 On form 4th XI crush New Milton New Milton IV 80ao, Sway 84-2. Sway won by 8 wickets. Sway's new 4th XI made continued their excellent start with a crushing win over New Milton IV at Pennington. New Milton batted first and were soon in trouble when Steve Trumpington who had scored a ton the previous week clearly was not expecting to face a bowler as menacing as Carl Osborne and was caught by Steve Hannibal off just the 3rd ball of he innings. Matters did no really improve for New Milton with wickets falling every 10 runs or so. Osborne was returning to his menacing best and picked up a further 3 wickets to finish with superb figures of 8-3-10-4. Osborne was ably supported by Sam Harvey (2 for 26 off 5), Andy Hillyar who produced an excellent display to finish with 8-1-19-1, and Ross Clark 7-2-14-2. One of the highlights of Sway's performance in the field was a superb one handed diving catch by Sam Harvey which may well lead to big Sam being pencilled in as back up for Paul Collingwood for the up coming test series. In reply Sway knocked off the runs in 25 overs for the loss of just 2 wickets; Steve Wilson and Andy Glasspool both finishing unbeaten on 19 and 16 respectively.
