21st May 2010 3 wins out of 3 for super U13s The U13s maintained their superb 100% start to the season with a another fantastic victory at New Milton B. Batting first Sway were in deep trouble at 27 for 5 after 7 overs but recovered to a decent total of 107-8 thanks to 32 not out from Hammy Kavanagh. In reply New Milton needed 75 off the last 7 overs but managed to squeek to within just three of Sway's total, but Sway held their nerve to close out the win. Particularly pleasing for manager Steve Keen is that Sway have now had three different batting "retirees" in three games. In addition to Hammy's performance, Dom Woodfine and Henry Marden have also returned to the pavilion unbeaten this season - and there is no reason why others such as Dom Keen, Josh Thompson and Cameron Jones should not be able to match these performances in the games to come! |
