6th April 2010 Countdown
to the big day! The
events of May 6th may make some local headlines, but excitement is
building towards a more important event that week - the start of the new
cricket season!! Nowhere
is the opening day of more significance than at Sway with the club
fielding 4 teams for the first time and the 1st XI venturing into pastures
new of RD1S. As
first day opening records go the club has enjoyed mixed results over the
years with almost exactly a 50% win ratio. In fact in both 2008 and 2009
the club won just 1 of its opening 3 games.
