The Legend Returns.....

Putting paid to the annual rumours, Sway CC bowling legend Carl Osborne has come out of retirement and has signaled his intention to play league cricket in 2010.

Osborne is a founder member of the reformed club and has bowled more overs and taken more wickets than anyone else in the clubs history - 258 wickets at an average of just 10.97. He still holds the top 6 bowling performances for the club along with a host of other records - his best being 7 wickets for just 8 runs in 1997. 

Osborne turned up at indoor looking mean and ready for action and was (unfortunately) straight on the money. Batsman Dave Marshall was expecting a couple of looseners after Carl's 3 year absence but was horrified to have his off stump removed by Osborne's first two surprisingly quick deliveries!!!
