Personal landmarks diary for 2010

With a busy season ahead for the club, we thought we would have a look at some of the personal landmarks that may well be achieved by players if they perform at or near the levels of previous year. These are set out below in date order:

Steve Thistleton - 1,000 runs - April - 2 needed
Dave Marshall - 1,500 runs - April - 38 needed
Andy Hillyar - 4,000 runs conceded - April
Robert Steadman - 500 runs - May - 44 needed
Pete Bennet - 100 appearances - May - 3 needed
Adam Clark - 1,500 runs - May -  73 needed
Adam Clark - 50 catches - May - 1 needed
Rick How 1,000 runs - May - 65 needed
Sam Harvey - 500 runs - May - 3 needed
Sam Harvey - 50 wickets - May - 7 needed
Steve Drayton - 50 wickets - May - 4 needed
Alex Hall 3,000 runs - June  - 227 needed
Matt Bramwell - 50 wickets - June - 8 needed
Jack Walton 200 wickets - July 2010 - 13 needed
Dave Marshall - 100 appearances - July - 14 needed
Jon Grasham 250 wickets - August - 26 needed
John Wills 200 wickets - August - 26 needed
James Howard - 50 wickers - August - 15 needed
George Thornton - 50 wickets - August - 15 needed
Steve How - 1,500 runs - August - 307 needed
Jack Walton - 2,000 runs Late August - 250 needed
Steve Hannibal 1,000 runs - Late August  - 251 needed
Steve Hannibal 50 catches - Late August - 9 needed
Jon Grasham 3,000 runs - Late August - 472 needed
Ross Clark - 1,000 - Late August - 360 needed
FJ Charton - 1,000 runs - Late August 431 needed
Pete Bennet - 1,000 runs - Late August - 261 needed
Dave Hurrell - 100 catches - Late August - 10 needed
Matt Brearley - 100 wickets - Late August - 18 needed
Andy Lee - 200 wickets & 100 appearances - 21 & 22 needed
Alex Hall - All time leading Leading Run Scorer - Late August

As can be seen from the above Steve Thistleton should be able to knock off his 1,000 runs during pre-season friendlies, whereas Alex Hall will have to be on top form himself and rely on Dave Hurrell having an indifferent season if he is going to overall Hurrell as all-time leading run scorer by the end of the season.

Some of the targets are a bit of a stretch - both Grash and Rosco will need to bat well to make 3,000 and 1,000 runs respectively. There are some really big achievements that are likely - 2,000 runs and 200 wickets for Jack Walton and 200 wickets for John Wills. All of these records will of course necessitate getting a round in down the Hare!
