Power v Beauty?

As pre-season training gets underway, the competitive spirit between fellow first teamers Adam Clark and Joe Rodway has been taken to a new level with a wager as to who is the fastest and fittest.......

The wager is that at first home game of the season (presumably after the match!) 2 races will take place, the first a !00m sprint, the second 10 laps round the outside of the boundary. The loser will donate £10 to Oakhaven Hospice

On the face of it it would appear that Clark should be the favourite for the sprint whilst Roddy the Body may well have the edge over the longer distance.

The radius of the pitch is circa 55 metres so that makes the circumference 345m - 10 laps would therefore be circa 3.5km

Dave Marshall (39 years old) has suggested that if he were to beat both of them over the 10 laps that they each donate £20 to Oakhaven !!!
