3rds give Swan Green a scare!

Fresh from their victory over the seconds Sway 3rds were confident ahead of their game against title favourites Swan Green.

Sway batted first and got off to a fairly sluggish start against the accurate bowling of Tasker and Finch. Ian Stone was run out for 8 but Dave Hurrell chipped away and made his 25 before retiring. Andy Glasspool, Steve Drayton and Tony Owen also all found themselves run out, some times in comedy fashion as Sway desperately tried to pus the run rate. It was left to young Sam Nailor at 23 not out to take Sway to a not impossible total of 96 off 12 overs.

In reply Sway had Swan Green rocking. Sway managed to take four faorly quick Swan Green wickets including a doubled c&B for Steve Drayton. Just for a moment an upset seemed to be on the cards however the experience of Tasker and Austen saw Swan Green home fairly comfortably with 4 overs to spare.
