Sway A romped to a 7 wicket win over Mudeford in the cup with 5 overs to spare to eradicate the memories of a poor performance against New Milton in the previous game. Mudeford started very well, despite excellent bowling from Sam Richards who did not concede a run for 14 deliveries, and the openers put on 94 for the first wicket. A creditable score of 120 for 4 from 20 was secured albeit on an astro and small ground and lightning fast outfield. In reply 13 from the first over hinted at what was to come and despite losing 2 quick wickets a 3rd wicket record partnership of 99 thanks mainly to David Steadman 43 ret and Sam Richards 42 ret took Sway to an ultimately comfortable victory. A home fixture against Totton or New Milton awaits.
